Using the SPBAS Web Based Installer
This article will go over the steps required to install SPBAS on your server. The installation itself should only take around 5 minutes and should prove very straightforward. This article assumes you have uploaded the SPBAS distribution to your server and that you have database logins ready.
You will need a text editor, SSH or FTP and database logins to complete the installation.
To begin, visit the upload location in your web browser. This will invoke our web based installer.
SolidPHP SPBAS EULA
You must agree to our End User License Agreement (EULA) to use SPBAS. Please read the EULA carefully and be sure you understand it before proceeding. We would be glad to answer any questions you may have. Once you've read and understand the EULA click the I Agree button to continue.
Step 1: Enter Database Logins
It's advisable to create a new database for your SPBAS install. However, you can install the software in an existing database as our tables are prefixed with m3_.
This step requires you enter your database logins:
1. Host - in most all cases this will be localhost.
2. User - your database username.
3. Password - your database password.
4. Database Name - the name given to your SPBAS database.
Contact your server admin or web host if you need help with this step. They will know what to do.
Step 2: Complete Your Admin Profile
The data entered here will be used to create your SPBAS admin account. The requested data should be self explanatory. Also, have your license key ready, you will need it to complete this step.
