Default Is SPBAS the right product for us...?

Hello,

we are a small company in Germany and make realtime ERP and inventory control and management systems for osCommerce. My question is now follow:

We don't have download products, every product is unique made for customer but some parts in PHP sorce code are developed by us and we look for a system which can monitor the oscommerce shop with license by IP and/or domain name against our server. And if someone copy the sorcecode of the osCommerce script and deploy them on a other IP and/or domain name than the script are blocked the runnig of the osCommerce and display only a JPEG like "you use stolen software" and sent us an alert to our email...?

So, can SPBAS do this for us or not ?

Best regards

Welcome to the forums JBBERLIN!

The short answer is: Yes, SPBAS does that.

SPBAS will provide you with a code snippet that you embed in the file you want to protect. The first time your software is deployed the code snippet sends the access details (host/ip/etc) back to SPBAS where they are recorded. If they try to use the software in a different location they will get an error message and the software will quit working.

It's also important to mention that you need an encoder like ionCube. You want to encode the file that has the SPBAS licensing snippet so the end user can't tamper with it.

Dear Andy,

many thanks for the fast answer !

Okay so I give a second chance to SPBAS! Yesterday I try to deploy the Free Version but after many hours I give up because the config is a little much... :-S

So I start now the second install and if I have questions, should I sent you a PM or post it to this forum?

Best Regards

The next release should fix many of the usability issues. We've gotten the same feedback from a few customers now so with v1.5 the focus is usability.

General questions the community could help with can be posted to the forums, but anything that you need a guaranteed response to should go through the helpdesk. You can e-mail support@solidphp.com and it will make it's way to the desk. I recommend you only PM as a last resort.
